Rachel Bithell, Elementary Science
I am so excited to be returning to teaching as the elementary science teacher at Cloverleaf. I fell in love with science as a kid and hope my students will experience some of the moments of wonder that inspired me to pursue an education in physics. After finishing my master’s degree, I taught high school physics electives and math at a STEM school in Illinois.
My husband and I moved to Colorado just before our second child arrived, and I became a full-time, homeschooling parent. Our four oldest children were homeschooled from kindergarten through high-school graduation. During my years as a stay-at-home parent, I also tutored math and science and taught adults as a childbirth educator and then a foster parent trainer. My youngest two children are third graders this year, attending a neighborhood school in Castle Rock.
When I’m not at school, I love writing for kids and their caregivers. I have published several nonfiction books for kids as well as a middle grade novel that won the Colorado Book Award in juvenile fiction in 2024.
