Armita Motallebi, Elementary Art Teacher

Welcome back to Cloverleaf! 

I am very excited about this school year! I am heading into my 7th year at Cloverleaf this year and I am excited to be part of a great community! We have many exciting projects planned for the school year.

A little about me...

My name is Armita Motallebi. I was born and raised in Chicago. In 2000 I got married and  moved to Colorado. I have been married for 24 years. I have a son who will be a senior at Mountain Vista High School and a daughter who is a sophomore in college. 

Art has always been my passion since elementary school, and I have dedicated my professional career to Art and Teaching. I have taught for the past 26 years in various roles: Pre-K through elementary grades as a classroom teacher, Art teacher, Director of BASE program, Kindergarten enrichment teacher,  group leader, Assistant Teacher, and substitute. My hobbies and interests include Face Painting/teaching art classes on the weekends/weekdays/summers. On the days I am not working at Cloverleaf, I enjoy spending time with my family attending their volleyball tournaments and family functions. 

We will be exploring: 

  • The Elements of Art and Principles of Design (why they are important and how they are used in art)

  • We will focus on each element in detail with a project for each element and how they relate to the state standards

  •  A famous artist including Art history

  •  Students will be critiquing each other's work for feedback, and using sketchbooks for reflection/plan/drawings 

  •  We will explore all mediums such as watercolor, colored pencils, oil pastels, and more! 

  •  Look out for the Art Newsletter with updates!

I look forward to getting to know each student's artistic side and am very excited to see all the new faces and all the returning students!

Art Supply List:

  • 2 pocket folder one  with the color code for your child's class which will be collected for conferences and a second one labeled as "Art Back and Forth" with the student's name on top

    • ​​​​​​​This will be used for all classes

  • Pack of 4  Sharpie brand colored Sharpie markers

  • 2 Dry Erase markers of any color

  • Art Apron (Kept inside of your backpacks) 

  • 1 Canister of disinfecting wipes 

    • I will be collecting the Pocket folders/supplies first two weeks of class
