Armita Motallebi, Elementary Art Teacher

Welcome back to Cloverleaf!

I am so excited for the upcoming school year. This will be my 7th year at Cloverleaf, and I feel grateful to be part of such a strong, supportive community. We have many exciting projects planned, and I can’t wait to get started.

A little about me…

My name is Armita Motallebi. I was born and raised in Chicago, and in 2000, I moved to Colorado after getting married. My husband and I have been married for 24 years. We have two children: my son is a senior at Mountain Vista High School, and my daughter is a sophomore in college.

Art has been my passion since elementary school, and I’ve dedicated my career to both art and teaching. Over the past 26 years, I’ve worked in a variety of roles, including Pre-K through elementary classroom teacher, art teacher, Director of the BASE program, kindergarten enrichment teacher, group leader, assistant teacher, and substitute.

Outside of school, I enjoy face painting and teaching art classes on weekends, weekdays, and during the summer. When I’m not at Cloverleaf, you’ll often find me spending time with my family at volleyball tournaments or family gatherings.

What we’ll be exploring this year:

  • The Elements of Art and Principles of Design—what they are, why they matter, and how artists use them
  • In-depth projects focused on each element, aligned with state standards
  • Famous artists and art history
  • Peer critique, where students learn to give and receive thoughtful feedback
  • Sketchbook use for reflection, planning, and drawing
  • A variety of media, including watercolor, colored pencils, oil pastels, and more

Be sure to look out for the Art Newsletter for updates throughout the year.

I’m looking forward to getting to know each student’s creative voice and am excited to welcome both new and returning students.
