Brett Shelley, Kindergarten Teacher

Welcome to Kindergarten! I'm so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Brigham Young University and have been working with children in classrooms since 2006. The bulk of my teaching experience has been in elementary special education, and I've also taught first grade, preschool, and homeschooled my own daughters.

Kindergarten is such a fun and exciting year! We'll spend our days supplementing your homeschool learning through reading, writing, and hands-on math activities, projects, games, and lots of play. We'll also dive into science and social studies, read amazing books, and learn about the changing seasons and holidays throughout the year. My goal is for every child to feel safe, loved, and excited to come to school each week.

My husband and I have three daughters, and we've called Colorado home since 2019. My family has a special connection to Cloverleaf because my daughters attended school here, and I truly believe it is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow.

I know how important these first school experiences are, and I feel so grateful to be part of them. I look forward to partnering with your family to make this a joyful, successful, and memorable kindergarten year.
